At 13 meters above the ground, ORIGIN opens the door to a Cabin perched in the trees who is reinventing high-end natural hotels: a life-size bird's nest signed Lavit workshop where design, wood architecture and poetry are one.

A life-size bird's nest

The project was born from a simple idea: enhance the tree rather than cling to it. The architects imagined a faceted “wooden dress” that delicately envelops the trunk, like the intertwined twigs of a nest. The result: a light, almost stealthy figure that seems to have always belonged to the canopy.

An architectural challenge taken up by Atelier Lavit

• Height: 13 m above ground
• Access: ladder, then 30 m suspended footbridge

The octagonal plan organizes the volumes around the trunk, the real backbone of the place. Two large bay windows let in light and open up plunging views of the foliage. A wooden ladder leads to the 360° panoramic terrace, a secret belvedere hidden behind the cladding. Outside, a private heated Nordic bath awaits you on a suspended platform : ideal for a bath under the stars, in the calm of nature.

The experience of a comfortable nature stay

Custom furniture, clean design and cozy bedding make up a warm interior where you can feel at home (re) connect to yourself and to the forest. The bathroom, compact and refined, extends the well-being break. At blue hour, birdsong replaces your playlist; in the early morning, your breakfast basket arrives at the foot of your cabin to be pulled up using a pulley, without breaking the magic.

Atelier Lavit: craftsmanship, innovation and prefabrication

Founded in Paris in 2014 by the architect Marco Lavit, Lavit workshop explores wood architecture, small scale and prefabricated structures to limit the impact on site.

‍‍The studio favors dialogue with artisans and the strength of raw materials; it received the 2018 Maison & Objet Rising Talents Award, the AD Seven for the Future And theEDIDA 2022 for the Lemni armchair.

After ORIGIN, Atelier Lavit imagined the Cabanes des Grands Cépages in Vaucluse, the LILELO eco-lodges (Wood Architecture Prize 2023 prize) and numerous design pieces published by Nilufar, Living Divani or Ethimo.
